Usually
for minors, a Custodial Account is a Savings account in the minor's
name with an adult custodian, usually the parent. The minor does
not have access to the account. Dividends are usually reported under
the minor's SSN.
This is different
than having a regular joint account with a minor, where the
minor
would have joint access to funds in the account. See a Member
Service Representative for further guidance. |
